Permanent, high-contrast marking without inks or consumables

Laser Coders

Product Overview

Engineered for Your Production Needs

The LM Series Laser Marking Systems provide permanent, high-quality product identification without inks, labels or other printing consumables. Using a focused laser beam, the system marks directly onto the product or packaging for applications including date codes, lot numbers, serial numbers, expiration dates, text, logos, barcodes and 2D codes. Laser marking is a non-contact process and produces permanent marks directly on the target surface.

The LM Series is available with UV, CO₂ and fiber laser technologies, allowing the marking system to be selected according to the product material, required mark quality and production application. Each wavelength interacts differently with materials, making laser selection an important part of designing the marking system.

UV laser markers use a short 355 nm wavelength with a high absorption rate, allowing precise, high-contrast marking while minimizing heat stress on the product. This makes UV particularly suitable for plastics, flexible packaging films, electronics, medical products, cosmetics and other heat-sensitive materials.

CO₂ laser markers are particularly effective on non-metallic and organic materials such as paper, cardboard, plastics, PET, glass, wood and rubber. For packaging applications, CO₂ technology is well suited for permanent coding on cartons, bottles, labels and other packaging materials.

Fiber laser markers provide high-speed, permanent marking on metals and selected plastics. They are particularly effective on stainless steel, aluminum, iron and other metallic surfaces and can perform marking, etching, annealing and deeper engraving depending on the application.

Because laser marking is performed directly on the product, there are no inks, solvents or printhead consumables to replace. This can reduce routine maintenance and consumable requirements compared with conventional ink-based coding technologies.

The LM Series can be configured for both stationary and moving products and integrated directly over or beside an existing production conveyor. Product sensors, encoders, mounting stands, guarding and extraction systems can be incorporated according to the application.

Laser systems can be integrated with production controls and inspection equipment for automated traceability and code verification. Applications can include variable production information, serialized codes, machine-readable barcodes and 2D codes for product tracking.

The LM Series can operate as a standalone marking station or be integrated with conveyors, packaging machines, labelers, vision inspection, barcode verification and complete turnkey production lines.

The COMBO models offer a compact L-bar sealer and shrink tunnel in one frame with high reliability which makes it a very popular product

Simple and easy to use machine with a user friendly interface to cover a vast range of packaged products: cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, industrial product. Single or multipack products are manually loaded on the working table. The ergonomic sealing arm covers the heating element which creates the perfect seal. The motorized conveyor eases the product transfer into the heat chamber for the ultimate package. The integrated heat tunnel features a top, bottom and side heated air flow, twin blowers, teflon mesh belt that are all controlled with the SATU digital keypad
