Stretch Wrappers – Robowrap

The ROBOWRAP Series Mobile Robotic Stretch Wrappers provide a flexible alternative to stationary pallet wrapping equipment. Instead of bringing the pallet to the wrapper, ROBOWRAP is moved directly to the load and automatically travels around the pallet, applying stretch film while the load remains completely stationary. This makes the system particularly suitable for heavy, oversized, irregular or difficult-to-move pallet loads.

Designed for warehouses, distribution centers and production environments where flexibility and floor space are important, ROBOWRAP features compact overall dimensions and a reduced working area. The Saturn brochure specifically highlights its ability to operate in restricted spaces compared with conventional mobile wrapping robots.

Because the robot travels around the load, there is no maximum pallet length or width on the primary ROBOWRAP configurations. This provides significant flexibility for standard pallets as well as oversized and non-standard loads. The reference technology is similarly designed to accommodate different pallet sizes and shapes while remaining easily movable between production areas.

ROBOWRAP is battery powered and self-propelled, allowing a single machine to service multiple palletizing or production areas. Sealed, maintenance-free batteries eliminate routine battery filling and allow the machine to be recharged when not in use. Depending on the selected model and operating conditions, the Saturn range provides capacities of approximately 60 to 200 pallets per full battery charge.

An integrated sensing system automatically detects the height of the pallet load, allowing the machine to adapt the wrapping cycle to different products. Operators can select from six programmable wrapping recipes, providing repeatable settings for different pallet configurations and wrapping requirements.

Different film carriage configurations are available depending on the model. The RWT-2 incorporates a motorized pre-stretch system, while the RWSP-3 can be equipped with motorized pre-stretch as an option. Adjustable film-carriage movement and, on selected models, adjustable travel speed provide additional control over film application and load containment.

ROBOWRAP can wrap loads up to 92.5 inches high depending on the selected standard model, while the RWSP-3 can be configured for wrapping heights up to 106 inches. The series can therefore accommodate everything from smaller palletized products to significantly taller warehouse loads.

Safety features include an emergency bumper, warning light and sensing devices, while the patented electric maneuvering system facilitates movement and positioning of the robot around the warehouse.

With its combination of mobility, compact dimensions and virtually unlimited pallet footprint, the ROBOWRAP Series is an excellent solution when a permanently installed turntable or rotary-arm wrapper is not practical. A single unit can be moved between multiple wrapping locations, making it particularly attractive for operations with variable pallet sizes or several low-to-medium-volume palletizing areas.
