The LAMBDA Series Automatic Bottom Lap Sealers provide an efficient and flexible solution for fully automatic shrink wrapping. Also available as Horizontal Form Fill Seal wrappers, the machines use a forming head and hot-knife sealing system to create a bottom film overlap seal underneath the product, eliminating the need for a conventional longitudinal side seal.
One of the primary advantages of the LAMBDA Series is zero film waste. The forming head wraps the shrink film around the product and creates an overlapping seal underneath, eliminating the continuous film scrap typically generated by a conventional side-sealing system. This reduces film consumption and makes the system particularly attractive for high-production applications.
The LAMBDA Series is available in both intermittent and continuous-motion configurations. The intermittent FFS Series provides speeds of up to 20 packs per minute, while the continuous-motion FFS-VO Series can reach up to 90 packs per minute, depending on machine size, product dimensions and film.
Multiple machine widths are available, including 16″, 26″, 32″ and 40″ models. Depending on the selected model, products up to 38 inches wide can be accommodated, while product length can be virtually unlimited.
The system can operate with flat or center-folded film, including POF and PE film. For flat-film applications, the LAMBDA can be equipped with a double film dispenser with automatic film splicing, helping minimize production interruptions during film roll changes. A manual film splicing configuration is also available.
Product feeding can be configured as a straight inline or 90° right-angle infeed. Multiple product handling systems can be incorporated, including lug conveyors for unstable products, dual separation conveyors for higher-speed applications and vacuum conveyors for lightweight products.
Anti-static bars can also be incorporated for applications where static electricity affects film handling or product movement.
The LAMBDA Series is suitable for a broad range of industries and products, including food, cosmetics, chemicals, detergents, wood, textiles and graphic products.
Additional automation options include automatic adjustable side guides, adjustable forming heads, labeler integration and leaflet feeder integration. Stainless steel construction is also available for applications requiring a more durable or hygienic machine configuration.
The LAMBDA can be supplied as a standalone sealer or integrated with a heat shrink tunnel, product conveyors and upstream/downstream packaging equipment as part of a complete turnkey shrink wrapping line.
