Saturn Modular Belt Conveyors are highly versatile conveyor systems designed around a wide range of plastic modular belt technologies, allowing the conveyor to be engineered specifically for the product, process and production environment.
A major advantage of modular belting is the extensive selection of belt pitches, surfaces, materials and accessories available. Belt configurations can range from smooth closed surfaces for stable product transport to highly open designs that provide drainage, airflow and improved access for cleaning. Current modular-belt portfolios include flat-top, flush-grid, mesh, grip and numerous specialty surfaces.
Conveyor width and length are fully customizable according to the application. Modular construction makes the technology suitable for everything from narrow product-transfer conveyors to wide processing and production conveyors.
Different belt pitches can be selected according to product size, load, transfer requirements and conveyor configuration. Smaller-pitch and micropitch belts are particularly useful for handling small or unstable products where minimizing the transfer gap is important.
Saturn can incorporate nose-bar and knife-edge transfers to create very small transfer points between conveyors or adjacent processing equipment. With the appropriate micropitch belt, transfer diameters can be reduced significantly compared with conventional modular belt arrangements, improving the transfer of small, delicate or unstable products.
Closed-type belts provide a continuous conveying surface suited for packaged products, containers, trays, cases and applications where maximum product support is required.
Open-type belts, including flush-grid, perforated and mesh-style designs, allow increased airflow and drainage through the conveying surface. These configurations are particularly useful for washing, cooling, drying and food-processing applications.
A wide variety of additional belt features can be incorporated, including high-grip surfaces, flights, cleats, side guards and specialty product-contact surfaces. These options allow modular conveyors to be adapted for inclines, declines, product separation and specialized processing applications.
For food production and wet environments, Saturn Modular Belt Conveyors can be manufactured in stainless steel washdown configurations. For applications requiring increased hygienic design, they can also be supplied according to Saturn’s Sanitary Washdown Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 packages, incorporating features such as improved component spacing, sanitary bearings, enhanced accessibility and welded construction depending on the selected level.
Modular Belt Conveyors can be designed as straight conveyors, inclines, declines, nose-bar transfers and custom conveyor layouts and integrated with processing, inspection and packaging machinery.
Saturn Modular Belt Conveyors can be supplied as standalone units or incorporated into complete production and packaging lines, with belt selection engineered around the specific product and application.
Simple and easy to use machine with a user friendly interface to cover a vast range of packaged products: cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, industrial product. Single or multipack products are manually loaded on the working table. The ergonomic sealing arm covers the heating element which creates the perfect seal. The motorized conveyor eases the product transfer into the heat chamber for the ultimate package. The integrated heat tunnel features a top, bottom and side heated air flow, twin blowers, teflon mesh belt that are all controlled with the SATU digital keypad
