Saturn Product Alignment Systems are designed to automatically center, straighten and control the position of individual products before they enter downstream packaging or processing equipment.
These systems are particularly well suited for cookies, biscuits, snack bars, granola bars, confectionery products and similar individual food products that require consistent positioning before flow wrapping, inspection or other automated operations.
The alignment system uses motorized side belts positioned on both sides of the product. As products enter the conveyor, the side belts gently contact and guide them into the required position while they continue moving forward.
Side belt spacing can be adjusted according to product width, allowing the same system to accommodate multiple product formats. Belt height, contact area and guide configuration can also be customized according to the shape and dimensions of the product.
The side belts can operate at a controlled or synchronized speed relative to the main conveyor, providing stable product handling while minimizing unnecessary friction or product damage. Independent speed control can also be incorporated when required by the application.
Product Alignment Systems are especially useful upstream of horizontal flow wrappers, where cookies or bars must arrive consistently centered and correctly oriented for reliable transfer into the wrapper’s infeed system.
Multiple alignment sections can be incorporated when products require progressive positioning rather than an abrupt correction. This provides gentler handling for fragile products such as cookies, biscuits and coated bars.
Systems can be designed with PVC/PU belts or food-grade belt materials, with stainless steel construction available for food production environments. Tool-less or adjustable components can also be incorporated to simplify product changeovers.
Saturn Product Alignment Systems can be supplied as standalone conveyor modules or integrated with product feeding conveyors, spacing systems, inspection equipment, flow wrappers and complete automated packaging lines.
