Compact side-grip conveying for vertical product elevation and lowering

S Grip Conveyors

Product Overview

Engineered for Your Production Needs

Saturn S-Grip Conveyors are compact vertical conveying systems designed to raise or lower products between different conveyor elevations using two opposing side-grip conveyors.

Products are gently captured between the two synchronized gripping surfaces and transported through an S-shaped conveyor path, allowing a significant elevation change without requiring a long conventional incline conveyor. Side-grip technology is commonly used for vertical transportation because products can be securely supported from their sides while maintaining a compact footprint.

The system is particularly well suited for bottles, jars, cans, containers, cartons, boxes and other products capable of being supported from their sides. The gripping pressure and contact surface are selected according to the product to provide secure transportation without excessive compression.

Two opposing motorized grip belts or gripper chains maintain control of the product throughout the elevation change. The gripping width can be manually adjusted for different product formats, with motorized width adjustment available for applications requiring frequent or automated changeovers.

S-Grip Conveyors can operate as either an elevator or lowerator. Products can enter at a lower elevation and discharge at a higher elevation, or the conveying direction can be configured to bring products down to the required downstream conveyor height.

The compact vertical design makes S-Grip Conveyors particularly useful when floor space is limited, when a production line needs to pass over another conveyor or walkway, or when equipment with different working heights must be connected.

Because the product is supported from the sides, S-Grip technology can also provide access to the bottom of the product during certain sections of the conveyor. This can be useful for bottom coding, marking, inspection or transferring products across a gap between conveyors.

Saturn S-Grip Conveyors can be manufactured with painted steel or stainless steel construction, depending on the production environment. Conveyor height, elevation change, gripping surface, product width range and overall layout are engineered according to the application.

Systems can be supplied as standalone vertical conveyors or integrated with bottling lines, packaging equipment, coding and marking systems, inspection equipment and complete conveyor systems.

The COMBO models offer a compact L-bar sealer and shrink tunnel in one frame with high reliability which makes it a very popular product

Simple and easy to use machine with a user friendly interface to cover a vast range of packaged products: cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, industrial product. Single or multipack products are manually loaded on the working table. The ergonomic sealing arm covers the heating element which creates the perfect seal. The motorized conveyor eases the product transfer into the heat chamber for the ultimate package. The integrated heat tunnel features a top, bottom and side heated air flow, twin blowers, teflon mesh belt that are all controlled with the SATU digital keypad
