Flexible horizontal flow wrapping for high-speed packaging

Flow Wrapper

Product Overview

Engineered for Your Production Needs

The FW Series Automatic Flow Wrappers are horizontal form-fill-seal packaging machines designed to automatically wrap individual products or multipacks in flexible film. Products travel horizontally through the machine while rollstock film is formed around them, longitudinally sealed and cross-sealed to create a finished pillow-style package.

The FW Series can accommodate a broad range of products, including bakery products, cookies, bars, confectionery, fresh produce, trays, packaged foods, household products and industrial products. Products can be wrapped individually or automatically grouped into multipacks before entering the wrapper.

The series can be configured with either a top-mounted or bottom-mounted film reel. Bottom-reel configurations are particularly suitable for soft, sticky, irregular or difficult-to-transfer products, while top-reel configurations provide a versatile solution for conventional product handling.

Different sealing technologies are available, including rotary and long-dwell sealing systems, allowing the machine configuration to be selected according to the required production speed, film and package characteristics.

The FW Series can process heat-seal or cold-seal films and can be configured for clear or printed film with registration control for accurate positioning of printed graphics.

Multiple product feeding and handling systems can be incorporated, including lugged infeeds, belt conveyors, product spacing systems, gap-closing conveyors, grouping systems, stacking systems, multi-lane feeding and robotic pick-and-place loading.

Servo-controlled configurations provide precise synchronization between product feeding, film movement and sealing operations. Touchscreen controls and recipe management simplify operation and changeovers between products and package formats.

Optional equipment can include date and lot coding, labelers, film registration, product detection, inspection systems and automatic feeding equipment.

The FW Series can operate as a standalone flow wrapper or be integrated with automatic feeding systems, conveyors, robotic loading, inspection equipment, cartoners, case packers and other downstream equipment as part of a complete turnkey packaging line.

For the final page, I would also remove the “up to 200 packs/min” claim unless that is specifically a Saturn FW capability you want to advertise. That number came from the reference machine rather than a Saturn brochure/specification.

The COMBO models offer a compact L-bar sealer and shrink tunnel in one frame with high reliability which makes it a very popular product

Simple and easy to use machine with a user friendly interface to cover a vast range of packaged products: cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, industrial product. Single or multipack products are manually loaded on the working table. The ergonomic sealing arm covers the heating element which creates the perfect seal. The motorized conveyor eases the product transfer into the heat chamber for the ultimate package. The integrated heat tunnel features a top, bottom and side heated air flow, twin blowers, teflon mesh belt that are all controlled with the SATU digital keypad
